Alongside my participation in the #100DaysofMakeup comes another challenge – 100 days of blogging. My goal for this project is to be able to think outside-the-box in terms of what an “everyday” look can be, as well as pump out tons of reviews for you guys. Let’s do this!
It’s Day 3 and I’m not wearing makeup. Still, I have 4 skincare products to review.
Skincare is everything is creating a flawless base for your additional makeup, so it’s still useful to discuss (obvi!)
I had no time to get ready, so I opted for products that would get the job done so I could run out the door. Also, I was excited to try the Eclado Sun Cream; I’ve heard so many lovely things about it! Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it won a blind test on Get It Beauty.
No selfie for today – let’s get straight into the reviews!
I was putting a lot on this because I half-assed my cleansing the night before (just some micellar water and sleep. DON’T JUDGE ME PLEASE). Still, it had a nice, soft consistency and got the job done.
I still use the classic Banila Co. Clean It Zero, but this one may be better for me. I immediately noticed the lack of scent, which is something I absolutely deplore in the Banila Co. version. You know when a smell is so strong, you can taste it? That’s Clean It Zero for me. While it’s still my holy grail balm because it literally cleans off everything, I may have to put Farmacy’s to the test on a heavier makeup.
This brand is so interesting to me! I discovered it at KCON this year and was instantly intrigued. I really never ventured into tangerine as skincare, but considering I use snail, bee venom, and everything else under the sun, tangerine can’t be too crazy to give a shot. Besides, I’ve yet to find a skincare line from KCON that didn’t impress me – I first found Moksha last year and they’ve come to be my one of my favorite brands for sheet masks.
This, essentially, is an all-in-one product. I’ve seen tons of these on the market – in fact, my uber-picky, multi-step-regimen dad is obsessed with Skinfood’s Beer One Shot for Men. After getting samples of this (I bought the line’s toner), I figured they’d be great for moments where I don’t wanna lug around product, or woke up at noon on accident… anyone else? No? ONTO THE REVIEW.
I enjoyed this a lot! I wasn’t expecting to at all just because I like to layer my hydration rather than slab one thing on. I have to take LA’s 100-degree, humid-ass weather into consideration, but I didn’t feel any dry patches peek through and only had to mist once after being in an air-conditioned room all day. A lot of different factors to consider, but it worked, so I’m happy.
I wasn’t a terribly huge fan of the toner’s ingredients, which left me curious about the all-in-one. There isn’t much information on this brand other than eBay, which gives me the idea that this is a private-labelled company. Interesting!
Anyway, for those who are curious, the ingredients are as follows:
First ingredient is water. Second ingredient is glycerin.
Regardless, I’ll save the lil’ packets for whenever I’m extremely lazy. And it smells yummy.
Oooooooh, this is SOOOOOO NIIIIIIIIIICCCCEEEE! Aside from its obvious sun protection, it gives such a pretty glow to the skin & brightened my tired complexion really nicely.
Hyaluronic Acid made this really moisturizing, which also could’ve accounted for my all-day hydration. It’s no Biore Watery Essence, but it’s a lovely product I can get behind when I’m feeling sallow or dull.
Oh. hell. yeah. THIS IS THE MIST!!! I love this stuff, my friend who I bought this for loves this stuff (hey, Katniss!), you will love this stuff. It’s proper magic in a bottle – soothing, hydrating, quick-absorbing? Yes. Layers well under and over makeup? Yes. Multi-use? Yes.
HELLO I LOVE U
I wrote a much more detailed review about this mist for W2Beauty, so I definitely recommend checking that out if you want more deets.
Day 3 down! See you for the next 97 days!
